09:30 – 09:45 Welcome Nicole Harris Welcome and brief update on REFEDS from the REFEDS Coordinator
09:45 – 11.00 Panel 1: View from the Federation Operators Nick Roy, Rhys Smith, Chris Phillips, Bradley Beddowes, Thomas Lenggenhager and Mads Freek Petersen Operators from some of the federations from across the globe will be invited to take part in a panel looking at some of the challenges facing federation operators in today’s environment.

11.15 – 12:30 Panel 2: Stepping up Entities Tom Barton, Nicole Harris, Daniela Pöhn, Hannah Short This panel will look at a range of endeavours to support entities within federation to raise above the baseline assurance and trust level. The panelists will give brief lightning talk style presentations on SIRTFI, R&S, Code of Conduct and MFA / Baseline before discussing the current implementations of this work and where we have been successful / less successful.

13:30 – 14:00 SAML2Int – Where do we go from here? Group discussion  SAML2Int is now at the stage where a refresh is needed and several groups are showing an interest in moving this work forward, including eduGAIN, InCommon and Kantara.  This session will review the reasons for the update requirements and what the community would like to see in a new profile.
14:00 – 15:00 REFEDS 2017 Workplan / ACAMP Pre-planning session  Group discussion  This session will invite the room to suggest work items you would like to see on the REFEDS 2017 Workplan AND provide an opportunity to pre-plan session ideas for the TechEx ACAMP.

16:15 – 16.45 InCommon Update and Global Portable Digital Identity Ann West and

In this session Asmaa AbuMezied presented a proposal for a global portable digital identity to support displaced people and refugees.

Ann West then updated the room on plans within InCommon including the impact of eduGAIN integration, the InCommon Steward Programme and how InCommon is looking to harden operations in upcoming years.
