We are all saddened by the death of RL Bob Morgan, a dear friend for many and a model for everybody working in the middleware. We in TERENA and REFEDS feel privileged we got to know him and for what he gave us.
I will always remember his modesty, his sense of humour even in the most difficult moments and above of all his work; Bob made so many contributions to middleware developments in the IETF, Internet2, Kantara, OASIS and TERENA (just to mention a few).
Our thoughts are with his family and his closest friends in this difficult moment.
Every time you log in using shibboleth, remember that Bob was one of the key people that made that possible.
